Computer Science Week: April 24-28
This year the Department of Computer Science and the Hood Computer Science Club is celebrating 35 years of computing at Hood College.
While our Department is relatively young, there is a long standing Hood tradition and commitment to computer science education.
To celebrate the 35th anniversary of computing at Hood, we are organizing a week of events:
- Tuesday, April 25:
- Birthday Cake! 5:30pm @ Hodson 226
- Wednesday, April 26:
- Student Research Showcase (Hodson Atrium)
- Thursday, April 27:
- Lecture: Prof. Hal Berghel, UNLV (Distinguished ACM Lecturer)
at Hodson 131 at 6:30pm - Reception (immediately after the lecture) honoring the 34 years of service of our retiring Chair Dr. Paul Gowen, in Hodson
